From Slavery to Freedom: A Direction That Unites Us

This mural, painted on the wall where we meet, reads...

"Wisdom is like a baobab tree; no one individual can embrace it."

It can be easy to discredit each other when we disagree and come at life from different perspectives, but at Q we love to hear a variety of voices that can help us on our quest for wisdom.

This video explains how an attitude of Intellectual Humility can help us in this quest.

Jenny recalls an interaction that demonstrated how we can often find it easier to criticise those we disagree with than to create solutions for the problems society faces.

"Apparently, the early church was known for its joy, not its contempt."

This song celebrates that the Hebrew word for "God" is the same as the sound of breath, which inspires lines like "From birth to death every single breath is whispering your name."

Hannah and Joel speak about what each of them have learnt on their journey of different faith perspectives, from childhood, at Q and beyond.

They discuss the exodus from slavery to freedom, Passover, the approach to sacred texts and ‘pure’ souls, and find there is more that unites us than divides us.

"My religion is all the paths that lead me towards the light.”
